Morley Construction Company provided concrete subcontracting services for Phase I and II of the Fountain Park Apartments at Playa Vista – the first residential project in the Playa Vista community.
Phase I includes 705 units and 12,000 square feet of retail space over one and one-half levels of subterranean parking. Phase II consists of 296 apartments over resident parking. The residential structure is Type V and is four levels above grade. The subterranean parking structure is cast-in-place. Parking for both Phases I and II accommodates 1,448 total cars. This five-building complex also features two pools and a two-story recreation center, plus retail and office space at the ground level. The total site covers nine acres. The project was designed and constructed in accordance with Playa Vista’s high level of sustainability guidelines and is 28% more energy efficient than California’s Title 24 standards.
