The Malibu Jewish Center project includes the redevelopment of 63,000 square feet of the project site, removing four existing modular buildings and replacing them with a new school building and a new chapel building immediately East. The school consists of a two-story structure with two subterranean levels totaling 43,000 square feet; it will house offices, meeting rooms, music rooms, classrooms, and a library. The chapel is a one-story building with a basement level totaling 8,000 square feet and features an arched roof at the front entry with an accordion-style panel façade.
Morley Construction Company is providing concrete subcontracting services for the project consisting of foundations, slab-on-grade, architectural walls, and elevated decks. All the above-grade chapel walls will be cast-in-place architectural-finished concrete.
