Morley Construction Company provided concrete subcontracting services for the San Diego Convention Center Expansion. The Center required expansion space to accommodate tourists and business professionals, which included the formation of 23,000 square feet of slab-on-grade deck (tying the new convention center to the existing parking structure), the application of metallic hardener on the Exhibit Hall floors (a challenging project for such expansive spaces), and the placement of concrete footings and walls. In total, the new expansion space required 53,000 cubic yards of concrete.
